Bains, former director, banned from food businesses after rat infestation forced closure of Burger N Grill.

Bains, the former director, is banned from food businesses. Wolverhampton Crown Court issued this ban after Dudley Council prosecuted her under safety rules. Health officers discovered major violations.
Rats caused Burger ‘N’ Grill closures in August ’22 and February ’23. The council shut it down temporarily using emergency powers. The business has since closed permanently, and the company no longer exists.
Bains admitted to hygiene offenses during a court hearing last September. The 47-year-old got a 33-week sentence, suspended for 18 months. She must pay £1,000 towards expenses and cannot manage food businesses for at least 18 months.
Councillor James Clinton stated his satisfaction with the case’s result. He believes it warns food business owners they must meet the expected standards. Health officers found serious issues at Burger ‘N’ Grill in August ’22 and February ‘23. They used emergency powers to close it because rats posed an immediate health risk.
