Hey, guess what? That social club in Clase closed. It’s the one on Pengwern Road in Swansea. They announced it this past Thursday.

The owners said it was from issues they couldn’t fix. The club had some old, long-term debts. Also, they had trouble with Welsh Water payments. Welsh Water even shut off the water.

The club leaders thanked everyone who helped them. They showed appreciation to their regulars and workers. They also were thankful for other help they got.

They explained the club closed because of these challenges. Welsh Water wanted £19,000. It wasn’t even their debt. They reduced it some, but it wasn’t enough. They felt terrible it ended this way.

For nine months, they had been working hard there for free. They cleaned, tidied, and tried to organize things. Plus, they tried paying off bills in the process. It was a lot of effort.

They were still proud though. They got quite a bit done quickly. They fixed one roof and did a big repair on another. Paint, scrubbing and care repaired years of neglect.
