Police looked for suspects in Scott’s death. Samuel Musembi, one suspect, is now dead. He reportedly stabbed himself while running away. He had also tried to poison himself. Musembi hid at a friend’s home.

The friend found him unconscious one evening. Musembi was hurt and on the bed. They took Musembi to a hospital. He died from his injuries. An autopsy will find the cause of death.

Musembi was wanted for Scott’s murder. Police still search for two other men. These men fled after the crime. They dumped Scott’s body, said police. The other suspects are Benard Mbunga Mbusu and Alphonse Munyao Kilewa.

They once kidnapped a church pastor. Scott was a Briton who was 58. His body was found on February 22, 2025. It was in Makongo Forest. He came to Kenya for a conference.

Scott was last at a Nairobi hotel on February 16. His body was in a sack. His hands were tied. The forest was near Nairobi. A Kenyan court will keep two suspects detained.

They can stay for 21 days longer. This assists the ongoing police inquiries. Scott was a director at Fico. His employer said they were very sad. They praised his humor and kindness. They send thoughts to his family.

Kenyan detectives call the murder awful. They are doing a complex investigation. The UK Foreign Office assists Scott’s family. They are also speaking to Kenyan police.
