A young girl, only three years old, died in Manchester city center. A van and a tram crashed on Saturday around 10 AM.

The crash occurred on Mosley Street. The van hit the girl, a pedestrian at the time, after the initial collision. The van was forced onto the pavement as a result of the crash.

Emergency services arrived quickly and took the girl to the hospital. Sadly, she later died from her injuries. The van hit her after crashing into the tram.

The Mercedes-Benz van then went onto the pavement. The driver ran away from the scene, prompting police to start looking for him and begin an investigation into the incident.

Police think they have now found a suspect. People left flowers at the accident site and messages on social media. These actions honored the young girl.

Police officer Stephanie Parker shared her sadness, calling it a very tragic incident. A young girl had lost her life, and officers tried their best to help her.

The police are still investigating everything, stating that this was an isolated incident and does not pose any risk to the public. They thanked people for their patience.
