The luxury yacht Ulysses, reportedly owned by Graeme Hart, impressed locals during a visit to Plymouth’s Barbican.

Ulysses is super fancy and big. Some say it’s the largest luxury yacht to visit recently. It’s a win for Plymouth, bringing cool boats.
The yacht was made by Feadship in the Netherlands. Reportedly, Graeme Hart owns it. He’s New Zealand’s richest person.
Yachting magazines adore Ulysses. They say its fourth biggest build. The yacht uses much exterior glass. Think twenty sliding doors and glass windbreaks. The main deck has six-meter glass panels.
It also features four hot tubs outside. A swimming pool covers the main deck’s length! The yacht has a hidden helicopter hangar. Inside, find a glass staircase and elevator.
Ulysses goes 18 knots at top speed. It travels 5,000 nautical miles. This distance happens at cruising speed. Two MTU diesel engines power it.
It holds twenty guests in nine rooms. Thirty crew members also live onboard. The yacht’s gross tonnage is 2,999 GT. Its beam measures 15.5 meters.
The yacht stayed at the Barbican Landing Stage briefly. It also spent time in Jennycliff Bay. A website said it’s the biggest to dock there. Many people came to watch the yacht.
The captain of Ulysses met an old friend. Richard Allan is now CEO and Harbour Master. They trained together as cadets. They stayed close friends since then.
The crew enjoyed Plymouth for a few days. Some crew were from Devon and Cornwall. They visited cafes, bars, and restaurants. They visited local family and friends too.
Superyacht visits help Plymouth’s economy. Ulysses bought local fish and Plymouth Gin. The yacht left with a positive vibe of the city. The team hopes to welcome more ships.
Captain Allan was happy to host Ulysses. He enjoyed seeing his friend from his youth. He mentioned the Barbican Landing Stage facility’s convenience. He praised the harbor staff and MGMT.
