Serious crash on Stratford Rd, Birmingham. One man critically injured after car hit a tree. Road shut near Ingestre Rd.

It happened on Stratford Road (A34). The West Midlands Ambulance Service got the call around 7:15 PM on Tuesday, February 11. The road closed in both directions, running from Highfield Road to Robin Hood Lane in the Hall Green area.
One of the vehicles hit a tree, according to the ambulance service. They arrived at 7:16 PM. One man suffered very serious, potentially fatal injuries. An ambulance came to the scene, along with a paramedic officer, a trauma doctor and critical care paramedic, and an emergency doctor.
The ambulance service described the scene. The first driver had critical injuries, and they immediately started giving advanced care. They transported him to Queen Elizabeth Hospital. A trauma doctor and paramedic went with him, providing treatment during the trip. No one else needed medical help.
West Midlands Police released a statement concerning the Stratford Road collision. It said the road closed in both directions near Ingestre Road. Police expected the road to be closed for hours and asked drivers to avoid the area and find other routes.
