Stonebridge City Farm in St Ann’s faces rising costs and needs public support to continue its work this winter.

Winter hits them hard as fewer people visit and donate. These donations are crucial to keep the farm running. As a not-for-profit, the farm needs extra help to survive the winter months.
Electricity prices are difficult to manage, and a single bill could significantly hurt them. The unknown costs are especially concerning for a non-profit organization.
Visitor numbers have grown significantly since 2017, showing a 155% increase. Kids and families especially love visiting the farm.
To cover rising costs and maintain the farm site, they aim to raise £30,000. They are asking for donations via their JustGiving page and encourage visitors to donate if possible.
The community support has been amazing, and they are grateful for everyone’s help. The current support is getting them closer to their goal.
About 200 volunteers help each week, bringing various skills and meeting different needs. Volunteers are essential for running different parts of the farm.
You can visit the farm for free and see many animals, including goats, ponies, pigs, and rabbits.
Last year, 100,000 people visited, and 300 people volunteered on-site. However, the farm has lost money for two years due to higher demand, making it more expensive to operate.
While visitor numbers have increased sharply, donations haven’t increased at the same rate. More people want to volunteer, and as other services close down due to funding issues, the farm is needed now more than ever.
The winter appeal has raised over £1,400. The farm urgently needs more support to keep running smoothly for everyone.
