Emma Llewellyn from Stoke-on-Trent caught smuggling £13,000 of cocaine at Jersey Airport, now faces a four-and-a-half-year sentence.

The 39-year-old flew from Liverpool to Jersey on November 8th last year. Immigration stopped her at the Jersey airport. Emma claimed she was visiting a friend.
Officials swabbed Emma’s luggage, and the swabs tested positive for cocaine. At first, she denied using drugs, but later admitted using cocaine recently.
A search uncovered a hidden package containing 52 grams of cocaine. When asked, Emma said it was “just a bit of coke,” and she admitted trying to import drugs.
Emma would have earned £1,000 for the job and also owed the supplier £350. She pleaded guilty to the import charge.
A customs manager spoke after the case, warning about the risks of drug smuggling. He said the sentences are a deterrent and that people should consider this seriously.
