A lucky resident stands to win £6,500 in the upcoming Dougie Mac Lottery jackpot draw this Friday.
The jackpot draws happen twice annually, in September and March. This month’s draw is on Friday, March 7. One lucky ticket will win £6,500.
Weekly lottery players are automatically entered. You can also buy one-off tickets for £1 each at Dougie Mac shops and the Blurton hub.
The lottery helps local people a lot, supporting those facing hard illnesses. This is their second £6,500 jackpot draw, which replaced the previous prize.
You don’t need to join the weekly lottery; anyone over 18 can buy jackpot tickets. They can then win the £6,500 prize in the draws held twice a year.
Besides the jackpot, there’s a weekly prize. The top prize is £2,000, which you could win every week by playing the weekly lottery.
Lauren Hamer won the top prize once, on her first time playing. She said giving is important and joined after seeing them at Morrisons.
She got many missed calls from Dougie Mac, followed by an email saying she won. She was shocked and told her parents, who couldn’t believe it either.
