A couple started a new Asian food business, offering delivery and a small eatery. Frank Marshall, formerly of a removal service and gardening business, retired last year and is now venturing into Thai cuisine.

Frank aims to share his food with the people of Stoke-on-Trent. His wife, Ratri Aroy, hails from Thailand and personally cooks all the dishes, infusing each order with care and dedication.

They launched a Facebook page for their business, “Aroy Taste of Thailand,” back in November. Now, they can be found at Stoke Indoor Market on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Frank, seventy years old, and Ratri live in Blurton and deliver throughout Stoke-on-Trent, North Staffordshire, and Cheshire. They pride themselves on crafting the best Thai food, a claim supported by glowing customer reviews.

Although the business is only eight weeks old, their Thai nights in pubs around the city have garnered amazing reviews, according to Frank. Customers have ordered food from numerous towns, including Laura Davies who left a particularly positive review.

Frank firmly believes they offer the best Thai food in Stoke and wants to showcase its quality. Aroy Taste of Thailand prioritizes quality, passion, and professionalism, delivering fantastic food that he encourages everyone to try.

His focus extends beyond financial success; Frank is passionate about giving back to the community. He has already provided 64 free meals, requesting only a rating from one to ten, which overwhelmingly resulted in top scores. He utilizes fresh ingredients, resulting in healthy meal options.

Frank sees potential in markets and pubs. They are currently at Stoke Market three days a week and organizing pop-ups at local pubs. He intends to expand their reach through more markets and festivals and hopes to acquire two food vans by the end of 2025.

Their aspirations include traveling around the country and exploring Wales. He believes the business is versatile and can succeed anywhere. They hope to fulfill numerous deliveries each week and cater weddings and parties.

They currently deliver around Stoke, Newcastle, and certain areas of Cheshire, with the aim of expanding their reach to those who would appreciate their authentic Thai food.

Frank met Ratri in Thailand nine years ago, and she is now his wife. Currently living in England, Ratri works diligently in a warehouse during the day and dedicates her evenings to cooking for their business. Although Frank considered starting sooner, he initially focused on gardening, but now believes is the perfect time to start.
