Police need your help. A fire badly damaged a house. It happened on a city estate. Firefighters rushed to the scene, and four fire engines arrived in Bucknall, closing the road nearby.

The fire started Friday afternoon at an empty house. Firefighters found flames around 1 p.m., and the first floor and attic burned. The fire was likely arson.

Neighbors reported many past fires; this was the third in five years. A fire in 2020 forced families to move, and the homes stayed empty afterward. Locals say it’s a problem.

Police are asking for information. Did you see anything Friday? Do you have CCTV or dashcam footage? Contact the police if you do, as they think the fire was started intentionally.

Firefighters issued a warning: be careful where kids play. Some buildings are unsafe, and left alone, you can’t know the dangers.

Call 101 if you saw something, using incident number 432, dated February 21. You can also contact Crimestoppers anonymously at 0800 555111.
