Police arrested three people during a drug smuggling operation. A 32-year-old man got arrested Friday. He was at a Newton Walk property in Tilery. Officers accused him of cannabis importation conspiracy. They think he wanted to evade prohibition laws.

Officers searched the house. They saw a 16-year-old boy on the Stockton estate. The boy reportedly broke bail conditions related to a car arson case. Police arrested the boy too. Both went to police custody.

The third arrest happened on Eastport Road in Portrack. A 51-year-old woman was arrested there. She is suspected of cannabis conspiracy, and police think she also wanted to evade prohibition.

Cleveland Police got information from Border Force about suspected drug packages imported via postal service. Detective Inspector James Allen spoke about the arrests. He said they know how criminals import drugs.

They will work with different departments to target these people and disrupt their operations. They want to protect vulnerable people. This action shows ongoing efforts to combat crime and protect the community.
