A reckless driver was arrested after a police chase ended with a stinger device in North Yorkshire.

The arrest happened last night, March 6. Police suspected dangerous driving and resisting arrest. He also lacked insurance and a valid license. Cops spotted him speeding near Selby, heading towards Osgodby. He drove a blue Ford Mondeo.
The driver did not stop for the police car. He sped through crossroads without looking. This happened in towns and villages across the area.
Police acted fast and laid down a stinger on the A19 highway. A firearms officer blew out the car’s tires. It stopped soon after on Riccall’s Main Street. Police units then surrounded the vehicle. The man is still in custody now.
Traffic Constable Matt Harvey commented on the incident. He views the man’s actions as unacceptable. He is thankful no one was hurt during the chase. Police patrol the county every night. It has 6,000 miles of roads. They work together to stop law-breaking drivers.
