A man died in Stechford after a driver fled the scene. Police are searching for the driver and appealing for information.

Police closed off Flaxely Road and Audley Road and are investigating the incident. They put up a blue tent. West Midlands Police seek information about the fatal collision, which occurred on February 9.
Police were called to Audley Road around 9:10pm, where a car hit a man. Ambulance staff tried to help the man, but sadly, he died there. The driver didn’t stop, and police are looking for them. They ask the driver to turn themselves in.
Detective Sergeant Rich Evans is the lead investigator, and he wants the driver to surrender. Police examine CCTV in the area. They closed Audley Road, Flaxley Road, and Iron Lane. They need witnesses and any CCTV or dashcam footage.
West Midlands Ambulance Service got many calls reporting a car hitting a person on Flaxley Road in Stetchford shortly after 9pm, February 9. Two ambulances and two officers went there. A spokesperson reported a man was in critical condition. They tried hard to save him, but sadly, nothing worked, and he died at the scene.
