Alice Aguiar’s dad will run the London Marathon. It’s in April, and he wants to raise money for a playground at Alice’s old school.

Alice’s parents started a fundraiser for Churchtown Primary School because they want a new playground there. Already, people have donated £70,000 in just a few days.

Alice, along with two other children, Elsie and Bebe, died in a sad attack last July. Eight other kids and two adults were also hurt. The attacker will be in prison for 52 years.

Alice’s mom shared happy memories this week. Now, her husband will run the marathon to honor Alice and for all who were hurt.

Alice loved school and had perfect attendance. The playground will be fun and help kids love school, too. It will have a library and a performance space. Alice would have loved this place. It honors her energy and spirit, and other kids will enjoy it every day.

The playground plans include a stage and an indoor library for families to use together. A “trim trail” is also planned to help kids be creative.

Alice loved to dance, starting with ballet as a baby and street dance later. Cheerleading and choir were also favorites. She spent weekends with her parents.

The new playground costs £250,000. It will honor Alice and Bebe, and the headteacher is happy for the support, since people are giving a lot of money.

The school still needs more funds and encourages more donations. Any extra funds will help local charities that aid those affected.
