Speed limits on Picardy Manorway and Bronze Age Way slashed from 50mph to 30mph for grid connection work safety.

Bexley Council started this temporary speed limit because JSM Group Services needs to do some work. They’re doing grid connection and cable work, which is why the limit is changing.
On Picardy Manorway, the limit goes from Norman Road’s junction to the horse roundabout near Anderson Way in Belvedere. Bronze Age Way’s limit starts at the same roundabout and ends at Queens Road in Erith.
These 30mph limits started yesterday, February 20th, and could last up to eighteen months. However, workers think the project will take about 23 days. Andrew Bashford, the Head of Highways, Traffic and Infrastructure, approved this plan.
A Bexley Council person said the limits enable safer work. While the limits might stay for eighteen months, they expect to finish the work quicker, in 23 days. Transport for London didn’t comment.
