An eight year old girl died after allegedly being stabbed by a teacher in an elementary school in South Korea.

Police discovered the girl and teacher. Both had stab wounds. This was in an elementary school in the Seo District around 6 PM on February 10. The girl was unconscious, and they rushed her to a hospital. Sadly, she died soon after, officials said.
The teacher, age 40, was nearby. She had stab wounds on her neck and arm. The girl’s parents reported her missing around 5:18 PM when she didn’t arrive at art class.
Police went to the school and found two people with knife wounds on the second floor in the audio visual room. The teacher had surgery on her wounds, and police believe she hurt herself.
Local media say the teacher returned recently after being away from her job. The teacher’s name is not public yet. Police said she didn’t know the girl.
Investigators will examine her motives after surgery. Education officials will close the school Tuesday. It is in Daejeon.
