Plans for two childrens homes in South Gloucestershire meet resistance from neighbors citing noise, traffic, and crime concerns.

Each house has five bedrooms. Each will house three kids needing care. Three carers will also live there. Two carers will stay overnight by shifts.
Locals worry about more noise and they also fear traffic and crime increases. Ten people dislike the Oakfield House plan. Seven objected to the Church Road plan. Bats are also a concern at Oakfield House.
Council officers suggest approving the plans. This decision is for a meeting on February 20. The council submitted these applications.
The report said no outside changes are planned. It said the homes look consistent with surroundings. Bedrooms won’t increase, therefore, more residents are unlikely.
Noise and waste should not change much. The report claims no clear crime risk exists. It said living conditions seem okay. Nearby residents should not face problems.
Each home has five bedrooms, staying the same. Traffic should not increase. Three parking spots will stay, which is enough. The report said the plan helps children needing support.
Ofsted will regulate the children’s homes.
