A major job fair in South Bristol offers young people hundreds of job opportunities, with over 35 employers.

The event is at South Bristol Skills Academy, on the Hengrove campus. City of Bristol College helps organize it, and Bristol City Council and the DWP are also involved. It happens Thursday, February 27th; you don’t need a ticket, and it’s free.
Smyth wants to help young people find jobs and build their careers. She started the job fair back in 2017 for that reason. She explains the government also prioritizes this goal, having promised training and job help.
The fair helps young people consider the future. They can talk to employers and support groups. Smyth appreciates everyone helping plan the event because it is a team effort.
Julia Gray runs the City of Bristol College. She believes in connecting young people and employers. She said hosting the fair is a pleasure, and the college wants all students to find out about future jobs, as local employers will be present directly.
The college asks, “Where Next?” They challenge students to plan their careers, aiming to support them to get there. This event helps learners decide their future, and the college is happy to offer its support.
