Retired Sergeant Major, Mr. P, wins £10,000 a month for a year in the Set For Life draw.

Lots of people win something each week through the National Lottery’s various games. More than nine million players actually win. Andy Carter, who works at Allwyn, which runs The National Lottery, congratulated Mr. P on his win.
Set For Life is a lottery where you pick five numbers from 1 to 47. Then, you pick a ‘Life Ball’ from 1 to 10. You could win different fixed prizes, but the top prize is huge: £10,000 a month for 30 years! Second place gets £10,000 a month for one year. The game costs £1.50 each time you play, and draws happen every Monday and Thursday.
Winners can share their name or stay anonymous, and Mr. P shared some details, but not everything. You can buy tickets at stores, play online, or use The National Lottery app. Playing online checks your ticket automatically, and you get an email if you win. The app also lets you scan store-bought tickets.
There’s also a new Set For Life Scratchcard now, called ‘Set For 5 Years,’ which costs £2 in stores. You could win £5,000 monthly for five years. Playing any National Lottery game helps others by raising about £30 million weekly. The money funds projects across the UK, supporting arts, sports, local groups, and even helping to protect landmarks.
