A family in Somerset needs help. They are grieving the loss of their dad, Philip Atkin, who passed away suddenly on February 21st at the age of 58. His death resulted from liver and organ failure.

People remember Philip as kind and funny. He loved football a lot and supported Bristol City and Liverpool. He adored his kids, Cheyenne and Zion, and enjoyed his drama group each week, where he made good friends.

Philip didn’t have a will or savings. Therefore, his family needs help with funeral costs. They started an online fundraiser to ease the burden and hope to raise £4,000. So far, they have raised £1,025.

Cheyenne said her dad was one-of-a-kind and always made people laugh. He loved his children very much, always talking about Zion and her, and considered his friends like family.

Philip enjoyed going to his drama group, where he made many friendships. Cheyenne also said her dad was “absolutely football mad”. The football wins after he passed felt like they were for him.

Bristol City won shortly after Philip passed, and Liverpool beat Man City recently. It felt like a nod to Philip, and winning the title is possible for Liverpool, while Bristol City might make the playoffs. It’s sad he won’t see those games.

Cheyenne is thankful for the support. She said any donation would mean a lot.
