Solihull officers approved a home extension, avoiding a third planning committee meeting for the house on Stonor Park Road in Olton. Zeus Padam applied for the extension last May.

Neighbors objected, calling it “overbearing,” and Councillor Sardul Marwa sent it to the committee. Marwa wanted a quick solution for the neglected house. The first plan included a rear and side extension.

The committee asked for more details to make an informed decision. The chairman felt technical info was lacking. The applicant then withdrew the plan right before January’s session.

Revised drawings were submitted at the end of January. The application didn’t appear on the February 5 agenda, but on February 7, the extension was approved. Mark Andrews, who oversees planning for the council, made this decision, which has conditions.

The council’s website shows the update. The decision will be mentioned at the next meeting on March 5, where the committee receives updates on delegated decisions. That’s how they learned about the approval.
