Social Services Referral Before Death of Five Week Old Baby in Oldham

Hey, something sad happened in Oldham. A baby girl, only five weeks old, died. Someone called children’s services before this happened. The call concerned the baby’s family, it seems.

This all happened weeks before she died. It was on Nelson Way in Chadderton. People called for help on Sunday, the 9th. Police and paramedics arrived quickly.

Sadly, they pronounced the baby dead at the scene. A man and a woman were arrested later. They suspect child neglect caused the death. Police took them for questioning.

A post-mortem exam will happen soon. This will help determine the cause. The council wants to know everything that happened. They will investigate fully, they said.

Police are also investigating the tragic death. Police ask that you avoid speculation, please. Give them information if you have any. Call 101 and mention log 1342 of February 9.

People are leaving tributes for the baby. Flowers and teddy bears are there. A note said, “Precious little angel.” So heartbreaking.
