Okay, so this guy, Scott Cutts, stole stuff. He did these thefts in Skegness. The thefts happened between February 19th and March 1st, 2025. He has no permanent address.

Scott, who is 38, went to court on Wednesday, March 5th. He admitted to having a Class A drug and also admitted to nine thefts at different stores. He stole from Marks & Spencer, Aldi, Spar, and Savers.

He stole meat and coffee from Spar on Winthorpe Avenue. Three perfume bottles were stolen from Lumley Road’s Savers. More was stolen from Winthorpe Avenue’s Spar: washing tablets, beads, and corned beef. He also took food from Spar on Burgh Road.

More meat worth £157 was stolen from Marks & Spencer. He also took four meat joints worth £60, again from Marks & Spencer. Another four meat joints were stolen; they cost £100. Seven mini Cadbury Egg bars were stolen from Aldi. Also, four lamb joints were stolen from Aldi, they were worth about £72.

The court ordered him to pay £420 in fees, and he must also get drug treatment. This treatment will last six months.

Inspector Jacky Evans talked about the thefts’ real impact, saying they affect store workers and the wider community. Police will ask for a Criminal Behaviour Order if it continues. The order would last at least two years.

The order sets conditions. Breaking those conditions means another conviction. The court decides the sentence then, and it could be prison for up to five years, or involve a fine, or both.

Police and store partners are working together. They want a safe place to live and visit, and they will deal with repeat offenders firmly. They will use ASB laws and civil orders, acting as part of their crime strategy.
