Plans to revamp Colwyn Bay’s Bay View Shopping Centre are unveiled, with a focus on modernization and improved access.

Moorefield Contracts and Pegasus Group made the plans. Some of the center’s front will be torn down. They will build another car park, and a road from Sea View Road will connect to it.
The center will get a fresh, modern look. Morrisons will move to the front, and they want different businesses inside. A restaurant, two cafes, and a gym are planned.
The goal is to improve the center and make it easier to access. They also want better parking and want to support the main stores.
A new car park will be added in front with spots for disabled people. Spaces for parents and electric cars are planned. The car park will connect to Bay View Road.
The front of the center is coming down to make room for the new car park. Shops will move to other spots inside.
They plan to change empty shops inside by adding new types of businesses. It could be a restaurant, cafes, a salon, or a gym.
Restaurants and cafes will have seating inside and in the back. They will add shop fronts facing the rear car park, which improves the area. They will also change the basement parking.
They want locals to share their thoughts before they apply for planning permission. There is an event Thursday, March 6, from 10 AM to 6 PM next to Specsavers. You can email your feedback.
