Violence erupted in Bolton town centre. Shop workers were attacked, resulting in arrests of two teenagers.

They arrested two teenagers. A 13-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl were arrested. Police say they found other young people involved, and these other youths will face consequences.
Greater Manchester Police got many reports describing antisocial behavior that occurred Thursday evening. Retail workers were hurt and insulted, and the teenagers stayed in custody Friday morning.
The boy got arrested for assault and harassment. The girl was arrested for three things, including assault and harassment, so she also got in trouble for a racially aggravated public order offense.
GMP Bolton talked about it online, saying they got lots of reports Thursday concerning antisocial behavior and large groups caused problems across town. Things escalated to violence against workers, and police showed up fast, catching some of the youths.
The police statement emphasized consequences, stating that the behavior wasn’t okay. All participants will face action for bad behavior, and police will involve an anti-social behavior program, but they didn’t share further details yet.
