Luis Piovesana, formerly of Sutton Coldfield, disappeared in Bristol. The family says he voiced fears he was in danger.

He was last seen at 3 AM at Eastgate Retail Park in the city. Police believe he took a taxi there from the Jam Jar venue on Little Ann Street. CCTV showed him walking at the retail park after 3 AM, but no one has seen him since then.
Luis was wearing black baggy jeans with diamond stitching, cream trainers, a black and grey gilet, and a black cap. He has tattoos on his arm, including a cartoon with a man, a car, and a cherub. He also has a Vespa tattoo inked onto his stomach.
His family is deeply concerned and wants to find him. He went missing early Friday at Eastgate Retail Park, located in Eastville, Bristol. His sister, Lubjana Piovesana, is a judo Olympian. She competed for Team GB before representing Austria.
Lubjana shared about Luis on Instagram, thanking people for their support and stressing that he is still missing. She said the next few hours are critical. He was last seen near IKEA in Bristol heading towards Frenchay, without a phone, wallet, keys, or money.
He called the police for help around 3 AM, saying he was in danger. He was last seen running at 3:30 AM. Lubjana asks people to share any information, suggesting he might have gone to Birmingham or Bath.
The family shared more details online, revealing that he sent a voice note to his girlfriend before 3 AM expressing his desire to get out of the taxi and seeming in distress. He mentioned kidnapping, according to the family. He got out of the taxi near Mila Road, possibly near the M32.
He then phoned the police again, stating he was on the motorway and had been drugged. The call disconnected, and police searched the motorway but found no one. He was seen on CCTV behind IKEA, running through the car park toward a Burger King at Eastgate Retail Park.
His family reported that he threw his phone, which landed in a bush as he ran. His phone and bag were found near Burger King. Luis appeared on CCTV at a Tesco gas station and in the store’s car park. He was last seen near a big roundabout by the Tesco around 3:30 AM.
His wallet was found on a mound. His family thinks he was trying to travel home to Frenchay, which borders Bristol in South Gloucestershire. Verdo Lounge shared a message via their Facebook page, saying that Luis used to work there and that their thoughts are with him and his family.
Luis’s relatives started a JustGiving appeal to fund a search team, aiming to bring Luis back home. It quickly raised over £12,000, with a total target of £20,000. Em Hughes started the appeal, saying Luis is deeply loved and his absence affects many people. She asks people to share the page to spread the word about his disappearance.
Police are worried about Luis. They ask anyone with information to call, as he does not have his phone or money. Extensive searches are underway, and his family has a liaison officer who provides updates on the search. An underwater search took place at the park on Monday, March 3.
Police encourage people with information to call and ask anyone who drove in Bristol early that day to check their dashcam footage. People with doorbell cameras should review them too, focusing on Eastville, St Werburgh’s, and Frenchay. If you see Luis, call 999 and provide reference number 5225052434; for information, call 101 using the same case number.
