People found Gulliver in May 2024. A passerby heard it crying in Renfrewshire. The Scottish SPCA helped Gulliver. They put rings on it to track him.

Almost 200 days later, someone spotted Gulliver. He was relaxing on Agadir Beach. SSPCA staff were very happy. Liam Reid works at the rescue center. He said it was great to know Gulliver was well.

They ring birds to follow them later. This helps get good data. An officer freed Gulliver from the bin. They took him to Fishcross in Alloa.

He was in bad shape when he arrived. He was very skinny and upset. He weighed only 645g. That’s 20% less than it should have been. Staff cared for him constantly. They cleaned his feathers. They also fed him until he got healthy.

After two weeks, he was ready. Staff put tracking rings on him. A birdwatcher spotted him in Morocco. The tags helped identify him. The SPCA is rescuing wildlife faster now. They use better methods to help them.

Liam said Gulliver shows their work helps. He said it makes a real difference. Seeing released animals thrive is rewarding. Gulliver survived and migrated.
