A Scots Tesla owner believes his car was targeted due to Elon Musk’s views after finding a scratch.

Gary thinks the vandalism could be because of Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla. He posted about the incident on Facebook and also called Tesla to inquire if other cars were vandalized.
Gary works in IT and was surprised the car’s camera did not record the event, as it usually records nearby movement. He feels someone targeted his Tesla directly. He would rather talk to the person, stating that vandalizing his car is ridiculous.
Many people saw his post online, and some suggested the same reason for the damage. His car has cameras; however, they were off to save battery. Gary thinks the act was evil and wants to highlight that this is wrong.
Other cars in the area were untouched. He asked the police about Tesla vandalism reports, but they could not share information over the phone. Even Tesla did not provide much information to him.
Gary tried to fix the scratch himself but hopes someone can repair the damage properly. He will return the car in a few years, as it is a personal contract purchase.
Police Scotland is investigating the incident, having received the report on February 15. Their enquiries are ongoing, they stated.
