A Scottish mountain rescue team saved an injured person after a difficult 10-hour mission in extreme weather.

The alarm went off at 4:30 PM on Wednesday. A person had gone missing, so crews started searching. A rescue helicopter found the injured person on a steep, dangerous part of the ridge.
The rescue turned into an emergency very quickly. High winds and bad weather stopped the helicopter. Teams built a system to pull the person to safety, and the team medic treated their injuries right there.
The teams got the person to their base by 6 AM Thursday, in Morvich. The Scottish Ambulance Service took them to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.
Pictures show how tough the rescue was. Crews worked on a steep ridge at night, and rain poured down on the mountain during the mission. Kintail Mountain Rescue Team praised everyone.
The rescue team said it was a great effort. Many groups helped, including Kintail MRT volunteers. They wished the injured person a fast recovery, and Kintail MRT are all volunteers, available all day, every day.
