The plan went to the council on Tuesday, and they should decide by April 7. The plan describes a small sauna building about 29.5 square meters. Bike parking and space for relaxing are planned. The application shows what it might look like, featuring a modern mid-century style.

Someone wants to build apartments in Galway. Highcross Developments wants to build them. The plan involves two apartment blocks with 40 apartments total. An old two-story building needs to come down, and they would build the apartments there. The location is at Clybaun Road and Western Distributor Road in Knocknacarra.

The apartment blocks differ in height. Block A goes up six stories and has various apartment types. Block A has five 3-bed apartments, ten 2-bed apartments, and six smaller 2-bed apartments, with one apartment having only one bed. The ground floor has storage, bike parking, space for trash, and equipment.

Block B will stand five stories tall and includes different apartment sizes. Block B has four 3-bed apartments, eight 2-bed apartments, and five more 2-bed apartments. A single 1-bed apartment is also planned.

The plan features a south-facing area, which includes seating and a playground. They plan a table tennis area. The council will decide by April 6, 2025, and the public can submit comments until March 16.
