The Prince and Princess of Wales will visit Pontypridd on February 26 to support flood victims and local businesses.

Princess Kate is easing back into public duties after finishing her cancer treatment. She and Prince William will visit Pontypridd on February 26.
They will meet people hurt by recent flooding caused by Storm Bert and Storm Darragh. These storms hit in late 2024, happening within two weeks.
They’ll visit Pontypridd Market, which has been central since 1805, and tour its food hall. The couple will also help cook Welsh cakes.
They will then meet the owner of The Welsh Cake Shop. The shop started over 25 years ago and is known for bara brith.
At the Fountain Cafe, they’ll meet business owners and talk about the flood’s impact on the area. The couple plan to see Meadow Street Community Garden, where they will learn about its impact as volunteers restored it after the storms.
Kate went to Wales alone in January, visiting Ty Hafan children’s hospice in Sully and a Corgi factory in Ammanford.
