Police chase in Rochdale ends with two hospitalized after a reported sighting of a man with a gun. Two men arrested.

The chase went through Rochdale and finished on Halifax Road, near Wardle Road. People shared photos on social media showing paramedics helping someone and police detaining a man.
Many police cars arrived on Halifax Road, near Smallbridge Library. Some people saw an unmarked police car, and witnesses also reported a police helicopter overhead. They described a Nissan Qashqai being chased.
Pictures showed a damaged Nissan Qashqai, which looked like it crashed at the end of the chase. Two people went to the hospital, according to the ambulance service.
The ambulance service got a call at 10:19 AM about an incident on Wardle Road. Paramedics took two patients to the hospital that day. One patient went to Royal Oldham, and the other, a man in his forties, went to Fairfield Hospital.
Police arrested two men because of this. One man, in his thirties, drove dangerously and was suspected of having a firearm. The other man, in his forties, was also held on gun suspicion. Police didn’t find a firearm during the arrests. Both suspects are now in police custody and answering questions regarding this situation.
