Hey, just letting you know about something going on. There’s a race this Sunday in Scunthorpe. It is the Tape2Tape North Lincolnshire race. They’re having both a 10K and a half marathon.

Lots of runners will be there. People are coming from all over! The races start at Quibell Park, which is on Brumby Wood Lane. The 10K starts at 9 AM, and the half marathon starts at 9:40 AM.

Some roads will be closed because of the race. Brumby Wood Lane will be affected, as will Scotter Road, Burringham Road, and Farmers Lane. Closures are from early morning and should last until about 1 PM. They will have detours set up.

These roads in Scunthorpe will be closed Sunday. Scotter Road closes first, between Minster Road and Asda. The closure lasts from 7:30 AM to 10 AM. Brumby Common Lane closes at 8 AM and stays shut until 1 PM.

The viaduct will close too, including Brumby Wood Lane to West Common Lane. It is closed until 1 PM. Burringham Road shuts at 8:45 AM and reopens around 10 AM. Asda roundabout will have two closures: the first from 8:45 AM to 9:15 AM, and the second from 9:30 AM to 10 AM.

Butterwick Road closes at 9 AM and should reopen by 11:15 AM. Messingham Road closes at 9 AM also, going to the High Street and reopening around noon. Lastly, High Street North closes, going to South View Avenue, and this part reopens at 1 PM.

Burringham Road opens after runners pass Asda. However, South View Avenue’s B1450 junction stays closed. You cannot get to Burringham until about 1 PM. This info is from North Lincolnshire Council.
