The man was in his 30s and died at the scene. Devon police reported that he worked at The Cornish Arms in St Merryn.

The Rick Stein Group employs over 600 people across its restaurants, a school, shops, and rooms, mostly located in Padstow. Ian Fitzgerald, who runs Rick Stein Restaurants, confirmed the death of a chef on February 13.
