Two men from Rhyl received suspended sentences for dealing cannabis after officers noticed a strong smell from their car.

Cops found four bags of weed on Jones right away. Then, they searched both their homes thoroughly. That’s what they told the court later.
At Gorry’s place, they found cash and forty bags of cannabis, worth a lot. They discovered cocaine mixed with caffeine, plus a machete. At Jones’s place, cops found more cash. They found both cannabis there and on him.
It all added up to quite a bit of weed. Gorry, 21, admitted to dealing and claimed others pressured him. Jones, also 21, admitted to dealing weed too. Both had been good guys before.
Gorry’s lawyer said it happened long ago and that Gorry was young and a small fish. The lawyer added he’s changed his life since then. Jones’s lawyer said he too was young and also noted the old case. Jones admitted his crime immediately.
He couldn’t find work during Covid. He smoked weed and got into debt. He dealt drugs to pay it off and is now employed and stopped drugs.
The judge gave Gorry a suspended sentence, community work, and rehab. Jones got a similar suspended sentence too. Both Gorry and Jones must forfeit £1,000. The Judge said that drugs ruin people.
