A return to a familiar Cleethorpes buffet reveals consistent flavors and a need for updating.

The restaurant was once a frequent visit for some. After swimming recently, they tried it again. They parked and ordered drinks. The bill was £32 for a family of three, with kids under five eating free.
They sat near the buffet, but the interior looked worn, seeming unchanged after many years.
The buffet offered typical Chinese takeaway options. They got rice, chow mein, chicken balls and spring rolls. The buffet only had Chinese food now, so Indian options were no longer available.
The food tasted good, although some dishes were a little dry. They enjoyed most of it anyway.
The next trip brought curry and noodles. Black bean beef and prawn toast were also taken. The toast and chicken balls were quite good this time, but the first serving tasted better overall.
The food tastes decent for the price, and popular British-Chinese dishes fill the buffet. It’s great for big eaters.
The restaurant needs updating; new decor could bring back the old charm. The food, though, remains okay.
