People are eager to see the new rental homes in Farnworth. Tim Heatley, the developer, seems surprised by this interest. His company aimed to revive the town center by building apartments, houses, green spaces, and amenities. This £30 million project faced some criticism. Locals had waited years for improvements and some feared Farnworth was forgotten.

When the company announced its plans, locals were wary because the area once had a popular market. People doubted the project would actually happen, having heard similar promises before. Some worried about the project’s quality, while others questioned the investment in Farnworth. Now, people are proud of the change.

The developer chose Farnworth for its affordable housing and saw potential despite the cheap prices. Other companies had failed to develop the site. He approached the council with a plan that is now a reality.

The developer gave Farnworth residents first access to 25 apartments before the general listing. These apartments were rented quickly. People lined up, surprising the developer, and locals often stop to look at the new buildings. He feels honored by the positive response.

Farnworth Green offers 85 apartments, plus 12 townhouses, now available for rent through Rightmove. Soon, they will add a community hub with a lounge, gym, co-working space, and cinema. The project includes completing the roof terrace.

The development has 20,000 square feet for businesses, with bars, restaurants, and shops being considered. Salons, tattoo parlors, and florists may also open there. The Coffee House began business on February 8, and Cotton, a cafe, is also joining the project.

The location is near the bus and train stations, with Manchester only 18 minutes away by train. The developer thinks this will attract renters. Renters can save money compared to city living.

Manchester’s average rent was £1,291 in December 2024, a significant increase from £783 ten years ago. One-bedroom apartments in Farnworth start at £750. The developer suggests people leave city apartments.

He believes Farnworth offers similar quality at a lower price. He describes the apartments as comparable to his city projects, where a similar apartment would cost £2,000. You get more value for your money there.

The apartments are fully furnished with nice furniture and include kitchens with quality appliances. The bathrooms have showers and tubs. Furthermore, large windows fill the space with light, and balconies overlook the town.

The townhouses feature kitchens, living rooms, and storage with bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs. Gardens, sheds, and a dog wash are included, along with an electric vehicle parking space.

Some townhouses achieve net-zero carbon emissions and save you about 70% on energy bills. Two-bedroom townhouses start at £1,200 per month, while three-bedroom homes begin at £1,300 monthly. All of the three-bedroom townhouses are taken. The developer feels pride in his team’s work.
