The Red Arrows wowed Scottish fans. You still have another chance to watch them.

The RAF team already performed on Monday and Tuesday. They moved north for training, leaving RAF Waddington in Lincolnshire and arriving at RAF Lossiemouth in Moray.

They will train for the 2025 rehearsal, which is on Friday. Missed the flyover? You can still see them on Thursday between 9am and 4.15pm.

They will practice at Tain Air Weapons Range, which sits on Dornoch Firth. The range extends from Inver beach to a wood east of Tain. They will fly over southeast Nairn before returning.

The Red Arrows Flying Display rehearsal is Friday at RAF Lossiemouth, running from 9am to 11am. There is no viewing area at Lossiemouth, and you cannot enter the base.

Enthusiasts called “spotters” watch the aircrafts. The base suggests utilising the RAF Lossiemouth Spotters Group on Facebook for safe viewing tips and advice to avoid private land.

The Red Arrows are the RAF Aerobatic Team, having performed 4,900 displays since 1964. All pilots previously flew on the frontlines of the RAF.

Notably, they flew with Concorde in 2002 to celebrate the Queen’s Golden Jubilee. Last year, they wowed the Edinburgh Military Tattoo with their show.

Shows feature impressive moves that make bright vapor trails, often referred to as smoke. The exhaust is what gives the vapor its color.
