A driver was jailed after a high-speed pursuit. He admitted to dangerous driving and is banned from driving in the UK.

The court heard about Perkins’ driving, which occurred early on January 30th. Witnesses reported his black VW Amarok swerving and hitting traffic cones near Junction 19.
Police tried to stop Perkins near Middlewich, but he sped away instead. This led to a full car chase, joined by a police helicopter.
Perkins drove fast through residential areas. Police used a stinger to slow him down safely, and he tried to run away after stopping. Officers caught and charged him quickly.
Perkins appeared in court and admitted to dangerous driving. He also failed to give a sample and didn’t cooperate with a test.
The judge sentenced Perkins to jail for 17 months. He cannot drive for over two years and he must retake his driving test eventually.
A police chief praised the teamwork, stating that multiple units helped catch Perkins. They stopped him from hurting people with his driving. The police chief added that Cheshire is safer now, and removing dangerous drivers is essential work.
He hopes this sends a clear crime warning.
