Rhondda Cynon Taf council plans to invest £16M in roads, parks, and leisure improvements in 2025/2026.

This funding is a special, one-time deal. Treorchy’s Park and Dare Theatre gets £1.5 million to help maintain the famous building.
The £16.05 million covers many things. Highways get £6.57 million for road work, and unadopted roads receive £200,000. Highway structures will get £3.5 million of work, and flood control gets £500,000.
Parks get money too, with £250,000 for structures. Parks and green areas will get £1.5 million total, while skate parks receive £350,000 for updates and play areas get £400,000 for improvements.
Multi-use game areas get £230,000, and war memorials get £50,000 allocated to them. Leisure centers are set to gain £500,000 in value, and program development will get £500,000 funding.
The council investment fund provides the money, and they also use highway funding from the government. About £7.13 million will remain for future needs.
The council keeps money for infrastructure projects. Their three-year plan includes spending £225 million, spanning 2025/2026 to 2027/2028. This plan uses £46.7 million from the core program, along with specific council money and grants, which were allocated in advance for specific improvements.
