PureGym plans to open a gym in Nailsea, UK, in the old NatWest and M&Co stores. The proposal aims to revitalize the town center.

PureGym submitted a statement to the council, applying for a certificate addressing lawful development. PureGym, a large UK fitness operator, aims to combine the two vacant units. They want to run a gym from this combined space.
The gym would offer affordable access and flexible fitness options to members. A variety of equipment and classes will be available, and it will be open 24 hours a day. No contract is required for members. PureGym also has locations in Portishead and Bristol.
One local resident supports the plan and thinks it will improve the town center. The gym could bring more visitors who might also use local shops. This would give new life to the empty storefronts.
However, some people have concerns, with one resident worrying about parking issues. They think the gym will take up spaces, potentially making it difficult for shoppers to find parking, and creating chaos in the precinct.
