Okay, so listen to this crazy pub story. It happened back on January 30, 2020. This guy, Adam Thomas, had a run-in with Neil and Shae Hateley. It all started at The Hunters Moon pub where someone thought Thomas had too many drinks.

Apparently, words were exchanged inside the pub bar and things escalated after someone bumped into Thomas. Thomas then said something about Shae having too many WKDs, which led to some pushing, resulting in the staff kicking Thomas out. Thomas called Shae the “WKD kid” as he left the bar.

Outside, the situation blew up, and a fight broke out. Thomas kicked Neil Hateley, claiming self-defense, knocking him down. Shae then retaliated by hitting Thomas with a bottle, after which Neil punched Thomas very hard.

Thomas ended up with a bad cut on his nose and said the scar would affect him forever, seeking justice from the court. The Hateleys admitted to unlawful wounding in court but ultimately avoided jail with suspended sentences.

The court ordered both Neil and Shae to pay Thomas £1,500. The prosecutor talked about the bar argument prior to the attack, noting that Thomas kicked Neil first, before things got increasingly violent, with Shae hitting Thomas with a bottle and Neil then hitting Thomas too.

Thomas said he’s lost confidence because of the attack and seeing the scar in the mirror bothers him. He feels annoyed that it all even happened and it is a reminder of a bad day, he claimed.

Neil’s lawyer said he feels remorse about that night, wishing it never happened. Shae’s lawyer added that he has become more mature since the incident, has a steady place to live and wants a career.

The judge said Thomas’s kick was self-defense, suspending the sentences due to the time passed and the Hateleys having no previous convictions. The court sentenced Neil to 18 months, suspended, and Shae got two years, also suspended, with both also ordered to pay court costs.
