Paige Myers appeared in court accused of poisoning a woman with rubbing alcohol in Prudhoe last year.

The alleged incident occurred in Prudhoe and is dated April 20 of last year. Isopropanol, also known as rubbing alcohol, is utilized as a disinfectant or cleaner and can be found in hand sanitizers.
Myers, 21 years old, faces a charge in Newcastle Magistrates’ Court. The charge involves giving poison to injure or annoy, with the court document further elaborating on the event and referencing the Offences Against the Person Act.
Due to the offense’s severity, the court hearing was brief. Myers confirmed her name, birth date, and address, but she did not enter a plea.
Paul Coulson, prosecuting the case, stated that the crown court must handle it. Magistrates granted Myers conditional bail and she must appear at Newcastle Crown Court on March 12.
As part of her bail conditions, Myers must stay at her home. Furthermore, contact with prosecution witnesses is strictly prohibited. James Rickerby, defending Myers, agreed to these bail conditions.
