Teen stabbed on Pretoria Road, Birmingham. Police investigate hospital link. Protests against knife crime held.

Police are checking out hospital trouble, too, thinking it’s linked to the stabbing at a hospital also in Birmingham.
The stabbing victim is a 16-year-old boy who suffered serious injuries from the knife. Luckily, the police said he’s now stable in the hospital. Cops haven’t arrested anyone yet in the case and are still searching for those involved, working to find out exactly what happened.
Someone at the hospital saw a large group arrive and said the group “ambushed” the A&E. Also, someone claimed they “raided” an ambulance; however, these claims are not confirmed yet.
Over 100 people protested against knife crime at the location of the stabbing. Signs read “Stop the knife crime,” and another sign said “save child’s lives.”
One person said these stabbings happen too often and wants more youth centers from the government. He also wants tougher laws for punishment and said parents need to do better, too. Another person wants investment in poorer areas, stating that things like murals are not enough and they need to improve community member’s lives.
