Two men got hurt in a fight. It happened earlier in the week when police went to Eversley and Granby Street, in Toxteth, after getting a call about a big disturbance. This was before 9 PM on Tuesday, March 4.

A young man, 24, was stabbed in the chest, and another man, 48, was slashed in the face. Police started an investigation, checking for witnesses and looking at CCTV and forensic info. Roads closed for investigation got lifted.

Police gave an update Thursday morning, stating that the 48-year-old went home and is getting better. However, the 24-year-old is still in the hospital. Police have not arrested anyone yet in this case.

A woman said she heard it all from her home and saw many young men fighting on the street – about fifty, she thinks. She saw a man bleeding and holding his chest, saying he was stabbed, so she yelled for someone to call for help.

Detective Inspector Steve Street spoke Wednesday, saying they are looking at different leads in the case. Police are talking to people who might know things and checking CCTV to get more information about what happened.
