A woman was sexually assaulted near Nottingham Castle. Police are looking for a key witness who may have seen something.
Hey, I saw some news. Police are looking into a sexual assault that happened near Nottingham Castle. The assault occurred on Lenton Road, close to the castle entrance just after 1 AM on Thursday, February 13.
A woman was walking there when a man approached her and pushed her down. He assaulted her. Police arrested a 20-year-old man who is still in custody.
Police think a driver saw part of it and they want him to talk to them. A detective, Nicole Milner, spoke about it, stating it was distressing and they are trying to figure out what occurred.
They found a car that passed by, possibly a BMW. The driver offered the victim a ride and is not a suspect. However, he might have information, so police want him to contact them quickly.
Police also want to hear from others who drove on Lenton Road around 1 AM. They want dashcam footage too. If you know anything, call 101 and use incident number 27 from February 13.
