Driver fled scene in Blackpool after e-scooter collision. Teenage girl suffers serious injuries; boy arrested.

It happened in Blackpool after midnight on February 23rd when a white vehicle hit an e-scooter with two passengers. The white vehicle left the scene, and the driver hasn’t been found yet.
Detectives need help finding the driver, so the police issued a statement today. The girl suffered serious head injuries and is in the hospital right now. A 17-year-old boy was arrested there and is currently in police custody.
Police are still investigating and want any information or footage. A police spokesperson said a white car hit the scooter on Whitegate Drive. The girl had serious head trauma and remains hospitalized for treatment.
Police are thinking of her family, while the 17-year-old boy is still held. Cops want info about what occurred, asking if anyone saw a white car, possibly a hatchback, near midnight in that area.
