Police need your help after a grim find. They located human remains near Bristol on the M4. The remains were between junctions 20 and 21. These junctions are near Almondsbury and Awkley.

Drivers began calling 999 around 6:40 p.m. They reported an object on the road. Police think the body is a man in his 40s, and they have told his family.

The M4 closed between junctions 20 and 22. The westbound section was next to the bridge, and the M48 also shut between the bridge and the M4. Roads stayed closed until Sunday morning.

Around midnight, police began releasing trapped cars. The eastbound M4 reopened around 1:30 a.m. while westbound closures ended around 3:00 a.m.

The police say the M4 reopened after a man died. They told his family about the tragic death, and their thoughts are with them during this difficult time.
