Police searched a North Shields house in the 23 year old cold case of Scott Clive, who disappeared from North Tyneside.

Scott moved there from Stranraer ten months prior. He was 30 years old when he disappeared. Police believe Scott is dead, though they found no body. His family reported him missing in Dumfries. They hadn’t heard from him for several days.
Initially, police treated it as a missing person case. Later, they launched a murder probe, despite no body. Police divers searched the River Tyne for him then, but they didn’t find Scott’s remains in the water.
Seven people were arrested but no one was charged. A witness said they saw a man enter the Tyne. This occurred the day after Scott vanished. Police arrested a 49-year-old man last year. He was suspected of Scott’s murder and remains on police bail right now.
Detectives are still seeking more information, though. They searched a house on Coronation Street Tuesday. Scott visited this house the night he disappeared. Officers are asking neighbors questions, too. The current resident moved there after 2002. Police found them another place to stay right now.
Police want to talk to former Coronation Street residents. They want to hear from anyone who lived there then, as they could have vital information about the case.
Detectives are asking anyone with any info to come forward. Even small details may be useful to the case. You can find a webpage to share your information online. You can also contact Northumbria Police by phone, and referencing number NP-20240703-0398 is important to mention.
